NBA 2021/22 Season

I have not had a look at the odds before writing this thread as the season kicks off in 6 days time.

My prediction for Western Conference on where the teams will finish:

  1. Utah
  2. Phoenix
  3. Dallas
  4. Lakers
  5. Clippers
  6. Denver
  7. Memphis
  8. Portland

My prediction for Eastern Conference on where the teams will finish:

  1. Brooklyn
  2. Milwaukee
  3. Atlanta
  4. Philadelphia (assuming a happy Ben Simmons is there)
  5. New York
  6. Boston
  7. Chicago
  8. Washington

think Memphis might be riser in West, Brooklyn look stronger depth wise than all the teams in the East.

I will however have a sneak peak at the Rookie Of the Year for 2021/22:

Odds from a Sportsbook:

Jalen Green 3.40
Cade Cunningham 3.40
Suggs 8
Evan Mobley 10.50
Scottie Barnes 14
Sengun 15
Giddey 17
Davion Mitchell 17

OK i just had a quick look and I missed out on Golden State in the West and Miami in the East. I guess those teams will be thereabouts with a fit Klay Thompson and Igoudala back. Look forward to see how Wiseman goes as well. Miami acquisition of Kyle Lowry gives them that feistiness around the ball.

i may do a mid season review based on what I have seen.

The opening season matches are huge statement matches for the rest of the league and the teams participating.

East will be most likely a battle between the 1 and 2 seeds in their conference. And if look at the betting Many betting agencies have Warriors 2nd favourite in the West.

I think both teams will go all out for the win as well.

Total Match Points line (both at $1.90)

Brooklyn v Bucks: Under/Over 237.5 pts
Lakers v Warriors: Under/Over 227.5 pts

Same Game Parlay in Nets v Bucks

Joe Harris 2+ Threes
Giannias 3+ Threes

Odds 18.25

anyway i’m getting with one of my Same Game Parlays for tomorrow Wednesday in Washington v Toronto:

Scottie Barnes To Record 4+ Assists
OG Anunoby 2+ Threes
Kyle Kuzma 2+ Threes
Daniel Gafford 10+ Rebounds

Odds: 12.52

My advise bet is to take it above 11.50

^^^ Like that bet for reasons below:

  • Anunonby hit this number in all his pre-season games
  • Barnes covered this number in 4 of the 5 pre-season games
  • Kuzma is a ball hog and he too covered this number in 3 of 4 pre-season games
  • Gafford snagged 17 boards in the pre-season game against this same opponent

Let the 3’s rain in tommorow:

Lavine 4+ Threes 2.55
Brogdon 3+ Threes 1.62
Anunoby 3+ Threes 2.55
McCollon 4+ Threes 2.45
Michael Porter Jr 3+ Threes 1.90

Odds with the Boost: 51.48

2 more Same Game Parlays Wednesday

  1. Boston Win, Tatum 28+ Points, Kemba Walker 3+ Threes @ 9.75
  2. LaVine 20+ Pts, Donovan Mitchell 25+ Pts, Jalen Green 15+ Points , Morant 20+ pts, Embiid 25+ pts @ 8.42

one more parlay because i reckon its over the odds

76ers cover -3.5 line
Denver Win
Cleveland Win

@ 19.52

the good thing for Atlanta for me is Trae Young can have a quite night , and with their depth other players can still step up and the Hawks can be competitive on any night.

But compare that to a team like Dallas where if Doncic has a spell of 4-5 minutes where he is quite- their backup players it seems are not good enough to even at least break even with most opponents.

Another thing as an outside note, it looks like OKC and Josh Giddey’s team are going to be in for a long season- given they were smashed by Houston by a fair margin last night.

3 Same Game parlays for me on Saturday night basketball in the US:

  1. Miami Heat -4.5 line, Myles Turner 13+ Points and Butler 8+ Rebounds . Odds 10.50
  2. McCollum 4+ Threes, Lillard 30+ Pts , Paul 9+ Assists. Odds

I expect a high tempo game for Miami v Pacers. Both teams have scored so far at least 120 points a game each.

NBA Prop Bets I like for 23/10

  1. Porzinigis 19+ points
  2. Adams 9+ Points
  3. Myles Turner 18+ Points

@ 17.55
Myles Turner scored 40 points in his last game.

Its OT in Spurs v Lakers

2 NBA Parlays for me today. Expecting it to be a high pace game. Boston have the most possessions per game and are playing the fastest pace so far this season.

  1. Tatum 25+ Pts, Cole Anthony 15+ Pts, Horford 10+ Pts, Wendell Carter 10+ Pts, Horford 8+ Rebounds, Wendell Carter 8 + Rebounds @ 14.75

1 SGP in Warriors v Charlotte

Curry 40+ Points, Draymond Green 9+ Rebounds, Bridges Under 19.5 pts @ 15.50

Clippers -4.5 line

DeRozan Over 5.5 rebounds

Both teams play small, with only really ivica Zubac being the tallest player from either side. I expect the wings to get a fair amount of rebounds.
